We may start our first day in Antarctica with a landing at Hannah Point, where we will find a nice variety of Gentoo Penguins, Chinstraps and southern Giant Petrels, as well as Elephant Seals hauling out on the beach.

At Deception Island, we will try to land. Here we find hot springs, an abandoned whaling station, thousands of Cape Pigeons and many Dominican Gulls, Brown and South Polar Skuas and Antarctic Terns.

Voyage south to the frozen desert of Antarctica where the cold nutrient rich waters create a busy feeding ground for whales and other cetaceans. Expect to see Humpback, Minke and Orca whales and perhaps some of the less spotted species such as Fin, Southern Bottlenose, Right and Sperm. Other cetaceans include the Hourglass, Peale’s and Commerson’s dolphins. The aim on this expedition is to experience all the wonders of the Antarctic Peninsula, in a shorter time.

The aim on this expedition is to experience all the wonders of the Antarctic Peninsula, in a shorter time. We will enjoy landings and Zodiac cruises in magnificent spots such as Cuverville Island, Wilhelmina Bay and Orne Harbour; and will have the chance to scramble up to vantage points in order to fully appreciate the majesty of the Peninsula's mountains and the stunning scenery.

On this adventure we will also visit penguin rookeries, scout for Humpback and Minke whales, Orcas and a number of the southern seal species, including the all mighty Leopard seal.
